+Bow!

I finished this about three days ago and I kept forgetting to post it. This is obviously my +bow.

There are going to be a lot of pictures and words, so I am breaking the page.

No more blaster commissions :(

Here's a quick boring post to tell you that I will no longer be accepting blaster commissions. That means no homemades or modifying stock blasters. This was not my personal choice to not accept blaster commissions anymore, I just can't. However, I can still do other things. I can do custom handles, rainbow handles with a trigger and other things. Commissions are still open, there just isn't as much stuff. I would still love for people to commission me!

PVC Check Valve

Here's a video that I found on youtube that shows you how to make a check valve out of PVC parts. Even though it is kind of bulky, it could be very useful for pumps without check valves or if your check valve breaks. I highly recommend taking a look at this video.

Five Polycarbonate Nitefinder Catches

Sorry I haven't posted lately; I haven't had anything to post. Anyways, I made five polycarbonate Nitefinder catches for charlie.156 on Nerf Revolution. They don't look super clean, but a catch doesn't need to look good. They are made of 1/4" polycarbonate and I had to dremel the sides of each one in order to make them fit in the blaster itself.

Polycarbonate Nitefinder catches are great when you are using a very strong spring in your blaster. They are especially useful when making a Nitefinder Rifle because your catch wont break. I charger $2 each for these and you can find more information on the commissions page.

Rainbow

My brother has always wanted a primary to use, but he just can't prime a K26 to full compression. Even if I were to make a snap with a shorter K26, he would still have trouble with it. That is why I decided to make a rainbow. With a rainbow, I can put the catch notch anywhere that I want so I can use a K26 without making it have full (or near) compression.

iModify's Rainbow Catch

Here's the rainbow catch that I made for iMod. There isn't really much to say other than the fact that it's a a rainbow catch.

It's a lot cleaner than my first rainbow catch which means i'm getting better.

I use this setup to test rainbow catches It is just a small piece of 1.25" PVC and delrin rod and it's pretty nice because I don't have to screw in the rainbow catch to test it. I hope you're happy with the catch, iMod.

The One Day Pumpsnap

Behold, the one day pumpsnap. That's right. I built it in one day, well less than a day but that doesn't matter. I think you could have figured that out yourself though considering what it looks like. Before I go into a long and boring story like I usually do, I will just talk about the basics. It is a pumpsnap 3.0 with a K26 spring in it. I wasn't originally going to post this because of the looks but I really wanted to prove that I actually made one.

There is no doubt that this is the ugliest pumpsnap ever built. Just look at those slots that I didn't even try to make clean, look at those sharpie marks all over the body. Look at that horrible 2" PVC pump slide. That pump slide is made with 2" PVC because I didn't feel like buying expensive 1.5" thinwall for a one day project. I word of advice: don't cut 2" PVC with a scroll saw. The arm on the saw bumps the PVC and because the pipe is too big, one of my scroll saw blades melted into it. I just couldn't cut the pipe steadily. There's my excuse for the slide. The sharpie marks are there because I don't want to clean the body of a one day pumpsnap. The slots, well to be honest, I didn't really try on them. I could make them look nicer but I don't see the point in that. The handle looks weird but it is surprisingly confortable.
Even though it is incredibly bad looking, it performs very well. I don't have official ranges but with a hopper and slugs it gets the same ranges as my snapbow. The seal isn't 100% but it is still very good and it catches very well.

I really made this pumpsnap just to prove that I can. If you ever commission me for one, I would actually take my time on it and make it look amazing. The slide would be thinwall PVC and the slots would be a lot nicer. There's my pumpsnap!

Hmmmm...

I have one more post for today. I was looking at acnerfshop's sale and I saw this picture:

That Stampede looks pretty familiar... the pump placement, shell, tank, and hopper idea are all very familiar *cough* here's the link *cough*

First Rainbow Catch

Hi guys, there isn't very much to say about this rainbow catch other than it is the first one that I have made. You could probably have known that it is my first one anyway because of the cuts.

I tested this with a small plunger rod and piece of PVC so it definitely works even though it looks bad. I'm going to break the page because there are three more pictures.

RECON INTEMAGRATION

This is a mod I did with a hornet shell that was broken and a recon I had laying around. This is Aukman by the way and I actually did all the work this time. this is an updated mod on an old post I found on the interwebz. Old Post on Nerf Mods & Reviews. I chose to single it.

Rainbow Pistol

I have finally made a Rainbow Pistol! I have been wanting to make one of these for a while but I just haven't had the tools to make it. I got enough money to buy a scroll saw and polycarbonate so this was the first thing that I tried out. I am very happy that I got some practice on the scroll saw before I make more of these and a +bow because my first cuts with the saw were very very bad. Now onto the pistol.
